Prices, opening hours and entry rules
We check prices, opening hours and closing days against official sources, and every page shows the date of its last review. Even so, this information can change at any time and without notice. In Venice that happens more often than elsewhere: museum and vaporetto fares updated at the start of the season, named advance booking made compulsory where you used to walk straight in, an access-fee calendar that varies from year to year, closures for acqua alta, restoration work, public transport strikes, and special rules around events such as Carnival or the Redentore festival.
Platform prices are not written by us: they reflect the figure published by Tiqets or GetYourGuide when it was recorded. They are dynamic prices that vary by date, time slot and availability. The price shown at checkout is the one that counts, not the one you read here.
Cancellation terms, age limits, ID requirements and rules on backpacks, dress and photography are set by the venue or the seller: we only summarise them. For St Mark’s Basilica, for example, the official terms accept only tickets sold through accredited channels, which is why resellers offer hosted entries or guided visits rather than a plain ticket.

If a museum closes for acqua alta or a strike, are you responsible?
No. Closures, delays and refused entry depend on the venue or the seller. Refunds and changes are governed by the terms of whoever sold you the ticket.
Are the platforms always more expensive?
No, it depends on the ticket. Sometimes the price matches the official one, sometimes it's higher because it includes a guide, a host or free cancellation. We point this out page by page.
